Bond Beter Leefmilieu zoekt het niet te ver

So happy close: that’s the title of the public campaign that the Bond Beter Leefmilieu and the Flemish citizen wish to launch to develop lively and liveable village centres. To achieve this, they support the local economy in a lot of Flemish villages and promote activities around sustainability.

By shopping locally, going to the local pub or sports club and participating in local associations, you contribute to a sustainable and viable community. Quite logical, since you don’t have to drive far, you strengthen local ties and support local retailers. Nothing but advantages, which choco summarizes as ‘So happy close’.

This year, 89 Flemish towns are taking part in the campaign. Everyone shopping locally during the action week will receive a lottery ticket and have a chance to win a nice local prize. Each association or citizen group organising an action can win a prize of 500 euros. As such, the action will liven things up a bit in the local community.

Choco came up with the concept for the campaign, the flow and the accompanying illustrations. The latter were elaborated by illustrator, Gudrun Makelberge.
