You need time to tell a story. And sometimes you have to make time: with a newspaper supplement, or a magazine. Choco has already done so for lots of different clients, with an equally diverse design each time. However, the objective remains the same: to use the space to create a lot of experience...
Nutriad is a Belgian producer of animal feed additives. Large enough to play an international role, small enough to operate in a familial way with a focus on putting people first. Choco summarised this humanitarianism in a magazine called ‘Addictive’, featuring a number of relations of employees and customers. Meanwhile, a second edition has been published and translated into English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese.
Anyone with a message to spread needs a carrier which can handle that. And the ‘Kringwinkel’ has plenty to say: The items have a story, and usually the staff, too. And so, the choice of a magazine was an easy one.
Choco has set up an editorial team with copywriters and photographers and drawn up an editorial grid. Even a specialised magazine designer was involved for a while. The result is there for all to see: The Kring magazine has become a model in the art of communication, which has been snapped up by the newspapers ‘Het Nieuwsblad’ and ‘Het Belang van Limburg’.
We think it’s important to encourage young talent. Therefore, (most of) the photographs have been taken by two recently graduated photography students:
The magazine with a wide range of topics that you will find at Eye5 opticians? That's Mag5. We determined the themes, wrote the content, worked on the entire graphic design and organised all the shoots. Yep, with Lien Van de Kelder.
Choco developed a Metro supplement for ACV Public Services in order to offer Belgians a look behind the scenes of the organisation. We interviewed eight different staff members and gave each one a voice and a face. We also gave the supplement a distinctive look with a sleek layout. The result: increased understanding of the ACV and a great supplement.
For the second time in a row, the Flemish department of Mobility and Public Works took us on board to realize the communication campaign of the Flemish Ports Day. A day with an impressive programme, which we clearly and unambiguously summarised in an equally impressive magazine.
Socius is the Flemish support centre for socio-cultural adult work and bundles around a hundred different associations and organisations. In order to give the huge range some room, choco created a one-off newspaper supplement: a brief journey of discovery through socially active Flanders.
