We don’t live in an era of change, but in a change of era. The speed with which this is happening, the resulting tensions that arise, the incredible onslaught of impulses we have to cope with on a daily basis… This is a huge source of stress for many people, raising lots of questions. CD&V wants to help find solutions, as a political party, and choco is now assisting them with this.
Choco started by focusing on the positioning of CD&V on the political landscape. It was defined as: “More US, for a stronger me”. Choco then translated this into a specific campaign baseline: the road forward. Then our designers developed a corporate identity for the campaign. The visual representation of the baseline culminated in a colourful corporate identity, which is literally propelled forward by an arrow shape that dominates the creative concept.
A solid start to the campaign
Choco also captured the campaign themes in a number of visuals, which were shared on social media and with posters. Voters better understand what ‘the road forward’ means with every expression: how we can all help our society evolve and how we can strengthen our position in it. The campaign was launched in mid-January at CD&V’s New Year’s reception. Choco created a unique presentation for the occasion, summarising the campaign highlights in a parallax video. This technique is used to animate parts of photos, so that a static image looks like it’s moving. Not as easy as you think, but we managed to pull it off with a little help from our friends at PixMix.
